A partnership with Solarcity is prompting people to adapt to the sustainable energy source

While Airbnb is still struggling to alleviate discrimination issues on its site, it continues to forge and strengthen partnerships with other companies. Recently, Airbnb started a relationship with SolarCity, a company that creates and inserts solar power systems, in an effort to encourage its hosts to install solar panels in their homes.

Once installed, Airbnb hosts are able to earn up to $1,000 and current SolarCity customers who decide to become hosts also earn $100 in Airbnb credit. The caveat is that SolarCity does not operate in quite as many places as Airbnb.
