The new application for the Echo lets users search through thousands of recipes and prepare them in real time

Move over, Jamie Oliver. Amazon Alexa is about to become your personal chef. Thanks to popular online recipe site Allrecipes, Amazon Echo users can have recipes from the site read to them as they cook meals and even search using voice commands.

In order to access the program, all the user has to do is ask Alexa, the Echo’s AI, for a recipe title. Users can also search on Alexa by ingredients, time limit, and even access pre-saved favorites. When prompted, Alexa will provide the recipe titles, ratings and completion time. From there, all the user needs to say is, “Start cooking” to begin the recipe, prompting Alexa to give them the next steps as they go.
