The Volkshotel is looking to bring innovation to the hospitality industry through novel interior design

The hospitality industry has undergone a massive transformation in recent years with the likes of Airbnb netting many of the luxurious hotels’ loyal customer base. To win back the hearts of business travelers and vacationers alike, the more conservative players have had to crawl out of their shells and put the same premium on innovation as they do extravagance and customer service. Last year Marriott launched a virtual reality tour with its ‘teleporter,’ sampling the vibrant hues of Hawaiian beaches to convince those elsewhere in the world to book a flight ticket and head on over.
