Connected Glasses Offer Helpful Features Without Looking Like A Tech Product
A company has started a Kickstarter project for their pair of user-friendly smart eyewear
A startup company in San Francisco is crowdfunding everyday smart glasses called Vue. Their appearance closely resembles that of traditional designer glasses unlike what we’ve come to expect from Google Glass or other bulkier models where placement was uncomfortable and the glasses stood out among crowds.
Many of Vue’s smart features are hidden along the temple of the glasses. This is where gestures to silence calls, change a song or make calls are captured. For audio, a small ridge was designed along the back of the user’s ear. This was done to not only prevent others from noticing the Vue’s technology but have the audio use bone conduction to transfer stereo sound down the inner ear. This allows users to stream music easily and hear notifications tied to their phones.
