Beauty vlogger Nura Afia has signed on to be the company's brand representative

As beauty vlogging is booming more than ever today, brands are hiring ambassadors to create tutorials to showcase their latest cosmetics. Case in point: CoverGirl has just signed 24-year-old Nura Afia as their first hijab-wearing beauty ambassador.

Hailing from Colorado, Afia first starting filming her make-up tips and routines when she realized just how few Muslim women were being represented in beauty video tutorials. For her CoverGirl campaign, she will be promoting the brand's new line of mascara, So Lashy BlastPro, in both television commercials and billboards.
