Google Earth VR brings the entire world to the living room with an HTC Vive on Steam

Ready, (head)set, go: Taking Google Street View to a whole new dimension (in a literal sense!), Google has launched Google Earth VR, allowing people to explore the planet from their very own living room, flying freely around the globe's topographies in virtual reality.

Users have the option to explore on their own or attend guided tours in locations like Manhattan or Monument Valley. Google Earth can also suggest locations for users to start their journey.

Good news for HTC Vive headset owners as Google Earth VR is currently only providing the software to them. To top things off, it's currently available for free on Steam.
