Samsonite offered complimentary protective plastic covering to passengers at a Spanish airport with a tongue-in-cheek message

When traveling, it's important to protect your luggage, and for some, wrapping their luggage in plastic a way of having some piece of mind. Suitcase company Samsonite decided to provide travelers with free wrapping that bore a humorous message.

At the Palma airport, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, travelers could get their luggage wrapped for free, provided they were using an non-Samsonsite suitcase and were okay with a message that read “I wish I had a Samsonite.” The tongue-and-cheek tactic got over 1,200 suitcases to bring its message to 120 different destinations. While the promotion only lasting one day, it was done at the height of the summer season back in June of this year.
