Google Reimagines The Whiteboard To Send Notes Straight To The Cloud
This digital screen is designed to make work collaborations noticably easier
Google has teamed up with Aruliden, a design agency based in New York, to reinvent the ubiquitous whiteboard for the modern office. The goal was to create a product that can adapt to all types of working environments, allowing teams to collaborate anywhere in the world simultaneously. The Jamboard is a cloud-connected digital whiteboard that is packed with smart-tech features.
The digital whiteboard is a 55-inch 4K screen that is closely integrated with Google's G Suite of productivity and work apps. Jonathan Rochelle, director of product for G Suite, explained that the Jamboard is designed to eliminate the problem of when people wanted to be creative and collaborative but they couldn't do the same thing at the same time. The whiteboard will help to foster collaborative work with tools that will make the digital experience feel more tactile. Users will be able to draw with a stylus, erase with hand motions, and move around images with a swipe.
