OYO assists couples in finding establishments that accept unmarried people through "Relationship Mode"

For unmarried Indian couples, getting a hotel room can be a tricky feat because of the taboo of unmarried people spending time alone together in private spaces. OYO is looking to make it easier for couple to take a break by offering a “relationship mode” to those looking to book a room.

“Relationship mode” is a special filter on the OYO app that only shows hotels where non-married couples are welcome. The app developed the feature after noticing feedback that couples were being turned away last minute for their marital status. OYO’s Chief Growth Officer Kavikrut tells Your Story that they’ve asked hotels to be honest about their policies upfront:
