Artist Julien Nonnon projected huge images of affection across the city of love

Artist Julien Nonnon is bringing romance back to the forefront in Paris, the city of love, with #le_baiser, a romantic art installation. Nonnon projected huge images of couples kissing across the city of Paris. The images are gathered from “the library of love” after the artist put out an open casting call and over one hundred couples volunteered to display their affections.

“The number of people aiming to be a part in a casting was beyond my expectations,” Nonnon said. The project was inspired by Alfred de Musset, a French writer who once claimed that “the only true language in the world is a kiss.” The installation lit up Paris during la nuit blanche 2016, although the artist hopes to take the project all around the world.
