Duolingo's latest app feature bots lets users test their language skills in A.I. fueled conversations to help them practice pressure-free

Meet your new language tutors—Duolingo Bots! The best way to learn a new language is to actively engage in conversations where you're continually forming sentences and complex thoughts with another speaker. That being said, it's not always possible to find a tandem speaking partner. Marking the new era of language learning, online education service Duolingo‘s got you covered, developing chatbots to help replicate those same interactions.

As the latest addition to Duolingo's services, Bots allows users to hold real time conversations in various languages. There are three characters they can interact with—Chef Roberto, Officer Ada and Renee the Driver, all of whom will have specific conversation prompts. Currently the bots are only available in Spanish, German, and French, though the site plans to add new languages soon, along with more bots to add to vocabulary variety. The bot feature is available via the  iOS app.
