Aron Fay has redesigned the classic journal with the finest printing and binding

Graphic designer Aron Fay, from Pentagram Design in New York City, has redesigned the traditional composition notebook. Comp has been made with the finest printing, binding, and material selection available. It has an exposed spine of Italian cialux cloth, covers made of thick wrapped boards, layflat binding that opens completely flat for easy use, and ultra white uncoated paper.

The cover features a unique black and white custom marbled pattern that has been optimized to perfectly balance light and dark, with every shape individually placed for a unified look, while the redesigned offset label provides a space to write information. Comp is currently raising funds on Kickstarter, where you can pledge $19 for a lined or unlined notebook.
