The store will offer a lower cost way for internet entrepreneurs to try physical retailing

Transitioning from online-only to a brick and mortar store presents a substantial amount of challenges. A new retail concept in New York City is looking to ease that move. In 2017, real estate company Lightstone will launch ‘bio,’ a 10,000 sq.ft. SoHo space containing over 30 individual retail experiences from online brands. Visitors will be able to browse fashion, jewelry, beauty and home accessory products in a hybrid retail/showroom environment.

The concept mashes together elements of food halls and designer flea markets. Mitchell Hochberg, President of Lightstone, on how the space will function:
