Self-Watering Flowerpot Keeps Plants Hydrated For 28 Days
The Natural Balance ceramic pot makes it easy for busy workers or frequent travelers to keep their plants healthy
The Netherlands-based ceramics and furniture online retailer, Studio Lorier, created a Kickstarter for its new self-watering flowerpot, Natural Balance. Instead of directly watering the soil, plant owners water the Natural Balance pot's reservoir which slowly seeps into the soil in the following weeks. When the reservoir needs water, the flowerpot tilts slightly on its side to alert you. With a volume of 24 ounces, the reservoir can water a plant for up to 28 days.
Natural Balance is built with a water-permeable, earthenware pottery, so plants are able to absorb the amount of water they need. While the pot itself can hold a plant with a diameter up to six inches, the pivoting point can be adjusted using a magnetic slider located at the bottom of the pot.
