Direct Line has come up with a clever way to make people safer in dark areas

UK motor and home insurer Direct Line has created a prototype service using on-demand drones to help light up dark areas to make them safer for people. Fleetlights is a fleet of flying torch drones that can be ordered via a bespoke app to light a pre-determined path ahead of the user, while responding and adapting to changes throughout the journey.

Direct Line partnered with communications agency Saatchi & Saatchi to create Fleetlights to enable people to feel safer and more secure while taking previously dimly-lit routes home by ordering a drone with their phone to light their path ahead. Check out Fleetlights in the video below:
