Designed by OFIS Architects, the structure for mountaineers is perched at the top of Mount Kanin on only a small footprint of rock

Step aside, Mother Nature. Thanks to OFIS Architects, you can enjoy the most stunning, uninterrupted views over Slovenia in a winter cabin designed to withstand the most dangerous weather conditions.

As a way to learn more about architectural design catered to extreme and remote conditions, the cabin can accommodate nine mountaineers.

Working closely with a number of structural engineers, OFIS created a self-contained wooden shell with a cantilevered form in order to leave a small human footprint on the mountain.
