China Begins To Pilot Social Credit Ranking For Populace

The system will give citizens a net score based on their daily behavior, which would offer them certain liberties or restrictions

In June 2015, the Communist Party of China announced plans to implement a new system of social credit for its citizens by tapping into digital data networks. According to The Wall Street Journal, China has begun to test the system in 30 of its provinces, on track for a country-wide application by 2020.
