The AI is made to have amusing, smart and helpful conversations with the brand's target audience

More brands than ever are starting to invest in influencer marketing as a way of engaging with their target audience. Make-up brand CoverGirl has been watching the trend of influencer marketing as well as keeping their finger on the pulse of what is driving and interesting to their audience. This past month the brand released an influencer chatbot marketing program that is using the teen-focused messaging app Kik as the medium for their audience to have conversations with a chatbot version of influencer celebrity Kalani Hilliker. The CoverGirl chatbot was created by influencer marketing platform The Amplify and chatbot developer Automat. The chatbot modelled after Hilliker, a 16-year-old American dancer, model and TV personality, has already resulted in 14 times more conversations than with an average Hilliker post.
