Window Wonderland lets everyone see the iconic holiday displays in New York City

Window shopping during the holidays is unlike any other time of year, especially in retail-rich New York City. More than just a novelty, the holiday window displays in New York City is now a time-honored tradition for tens of thousands of locals and visitors every year. To celebrate the tradition Google’s Art, Copy & Code team has created a digital experience of the holiday windows, called Window Wonderland, that anyone can experience on a smartphone, tablet or VR headset.

To create the experience, Art, Copy & Code, part of Google’s marketing function, shot high-res imagery of the windows of 18 iconic New York stores. Department stores Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Talyor, Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue; jewelers Cartier and Tiffany’s; fashion retailers Burberry and Polo Ralph Lauren; luxury designer Fendi, Henri Bendel, and Louis Vuitton and new kids on the block ABC Carpet and Home, American Girl, Michael Kors and Tory Burch are all part of the 2016 digital experience.
