Technology startup Specialwaves has announced a modular system, Mine, designed for musicians, DJs and producers to create MIDI controllers that fit their ideal specifications.

The Mine system has five components: pad, dual button, pot, encoder and a fader. How they are arranged and where they are placed are left up to the user. The pieces go on the motherboard in any configuration, including the choice to have them positioned horizontally or vertically.
