Parka Hides And Charges Portable Devices
Bolt is a jacket that lets people carry and charge their various electronics without the need for an outlet
If you can describe your work and lifestyle in three words — “on the go” — often charging your devices can be a dilemma. Thanks to Amsterdam-based designer Thomas Kool, the Bolt collection merges fashion and function by providing a stylish parka that lets users charge their devices inside the pockets.
According to Kool, he wanted to create a stylist garment that could remove the need for bulky bags and charges. The jacket is comprised of compartments for laptops, phones, tablets, along with removable lithium ion battery packs that charge devices via USB. Not only do the packs recharge wirelessly when placed on the coat's special hook, but they flash red with LED lights when running low on power.
