University Lets Students Know Their Acceptance Via Snapchat
The University of Wisconsin at Green Bay is letting potential students know they've been accepted through the popular social media app
College applications are all about presenting your very best self in the hopes that the university of your dreams will send you a big acceptance packet in the mail. But the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay is letting their potential future students hear the good news in a new way—via Snapchat.
Students accepted into the university will get a special snap sent to their account, featuring the mascot “Phlash the Phoenix” surrounded by balloons and emojis and the words, “Congrats! You've been accepted to UWGB!” There will be no rejection snaps; unlucky applicants will receive the same same slim envelope that so many high school seniors dread. The university is implementing this new strategy to better connect with the incoming class.
