The update is designed to encourage people to attach a selfie when they share their experiences

User reviews and recommendations site Yelp has added a new update that lets you attach a selfie (known as a “Yelfie”) to reviews. After checking into a business and taking a photo of your surroundings, the camera will flip to allow you to take a Yelfie, add the business name and star rating, and then share it with family and friends.

These Yelfies capture your experiences with local businesses in-the-moment. They started as a Hackathon project developed by a group of Yelp engineers and are now rolling out on iPhone and Android devices. Check out the new feature in the video below:
