Nestlé’s Holiday Machine Plays Christmas Music As It Brews Coffee
This massive Rube Goldberg machine plays music while customers order their drinks
Nothing says happiness better than piping hot coffee and catchy holiday tunes. Well, what if you could get a double-whammy fix of both? An innovation that was brewed over the festive period was Nestlé‘s twelve-foot tall Rube Goldberg machine that plays festive songs while making coffee, coined Nestlé Coffee Moment Ensemble.
With songs like “Joy to the World” and “Winter Wonderland” in its repertoire, it uses balls, glockenspiel keys and strings to make the sounds, with 1,450 pieces in all. As soon as a customer orders a coffee from the panel, the music starts as the coffee begins brewing.
