The heritage companies have come together for a collection of artist-designed tray tables to be enjoyed while in flight

This month, Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola unveiled a collection of illustrator-designed tray tables for one of the airline's Boeing 767 planes. The series of tables was created as part of an international endeavor, with contributors from cities including Amsterdam, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Seoul and Tokyo.

This is the latest collaboration between Delta and Coca-Cola after first partnering in 1927.

For the Tray Art Project, the artists were given free range to display their own style and aesthetic as a pop of creative flair while in flight.

Alex Yanes draws inspiration from the streets of Sao Palo while Ping Zhu's illustrates Shanghai “through the prism of the street market, the place where food, commerce and culture bubble over and tell the story of China’s past and present.”

In addition to the in-the-air art gallery, Delta will display the original trays in Atlanta, the headquarter city for both companies, at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
