Acne Studios, a multidisciplinary fashion house based in Stockholm, took a different approach to their men’s show at Paris Fashion Week. As part of a four-part delivery by art history professor Georges Papazoff, it hosted a lecture on the connection between historical self-portraits and the modern selfie.

Papazoff held the lecture at the Faculté de Pharmacie at Paris Descartes University. There he discussed the fundamental relationship human thinking has to art and how this process can transfer to the fashion industry. Acne Studios Co-Founder Jonny Johansson explained that he has explored the technique of tailoring clothing as a method to explore his current perspectives on fashion.
