In downtown Los Angeles, Marriott International showed off some new products they could offer in their rooms in the future

Visitors attending the Americas Lodging Investment Summit at the Marriott International hotel in downtown Los Angeles were treated to an unexpected event. Marriott Hotels took over a street next to the Staples Center during the week of January 23 to test products they may include in future hotel rooms and lobbies

The general public and those attending the convention were invited to sample these ideas. One of these concepts was a drink dispenser guests could control through their smartphone. The smartphone goes through the company’s website, with the guest’s credit card already saved, to choose which beverage they would like to have. Another involved a communal living area made up of four bedrooms, with a shared living room and kitchen area.

Marriott International received positive feedback from those at the event. However, they have not announced when these products will arrive to their hotels.
