The brand has found a new way to celebrate female anatomy

In most states, menstrual products are taxed whereas Viagra is not because it is a prescription drug. Despite this annoying reality, there have been strides in making menstrual products more affordable, accessible and acceptable to be talked openly about. In NYC, legislation was recently passed that made tampons available for free in public schools, jails and shelters. Another huge player in this movement is the company Thinx. Thinx is an innovative underwear company that now also offers their own brand of tampons. True to their unique marketing style, Thinx’s tampon packaging is both sustainable and catchy.

The cover is an abstract art piece of a vagina and behind this translucent cover is an image of a white tampon. As a user slides the packaging open to take out a tampon, it copies the actual motion of taking out a tampon from a vagina. The package contains eight organic, biogradeable tampons without individual packaging.

Thinx wants to break walls down with their products and their message. They want to celebrate the female anatomy and women’s rights, instead of letting it be attacked and defined by men.
