The cookbook contains tips and recipes on how to recreate the popular chain's signature burgers and fries

Shake Shack, the beloved New York City burger chain, is releasing an official cookbook. Shake Shack: Recipes & Stories includes stories, how-tos, and memories from Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer, CEO Randy Garutti and culinary director Mark Rosati. According to Eater, these Shake Shack recipes are simplified for the home cook.

“We didn’t want this to sit on your shelf, we wanted to put out something you would actually reference,” Garutti told Eater. Recipes that require too much time and labor have been adapted from the originals (for instance, the book tells home chefs to use store-bought mayonnaise rather than making it from scratch). Organized by menu item, the cookbook breaks down the anatomy of each major category—so readers can learn exactly what type of salt to sprinkle on top of crinkle cut fries. The book, available now, contains 70 recipes as well as stories and tips.
