The media giant is launching interactive storytelling in new episodes of its kids programs

Netflix is now offering interactive, choose-your-own-adventure style, children's shows as part of its original content series. The interactive story Puss in Boots: Trapped in an Epic Tale has already launched, with two more shows slated to follow. The new episodes are additions to pre-existing shows, and will allow viewers to decide on how the plot will unfold. For example, when Puss in Boots meets the three bears of Goldilocks, will he decide to make friends or become their enemies?

“The children’s programming space was a natural place for us to start since kids are eager to ‘play' with their favorite characters and are already inclined to tap, touch and swipe at screens,” said Netflix's Director of Product Innovation, Carla Engelbrecht Fisher. “They also talk to their screens as though the characters can hear them. Now, that conversation really can be two-way.”
