In Brief

Mime et Moi designed a shoe with different heels so wearers no longer need to carry around multiple pairs

There’s a shoe for every occasion, but a woman facing multiple events throughout her day might not always have the best shoe on hand. To help with that, German shoe maker Mime et Moi designed a shoe with interchangeable heels so a woman can use the same pair for formal events, the office and relaxing on the weekend.

The wearer can alter the shoes by lifting a latch on the sole to release the heel and replace it with another, lowering the latch to lock the new heel into place. The inner sole is made from a flexible material that allows the interior to alter depending on the heel attached, so as to avoid any discomfort. Each pair of shoes comes with two different heels, with additional heel heights and shapes available separately.

The shoe collection was launched in a Kickstarter campaign earlier this year. Upon its success, Mime et Moi made the shoes available online.
