Mushrooms and Goombas are just the start

After last year's massively successful NES Classic Edition sold out within hours, Nintendo is ringing the nostalgia alarm again a new range of Mario-themed bags in collaboration with LeSportsac.

The range includes a colorful assortment of styles including crossbodies, totes, backpacks and weekenders, as well as small cosmetics and accessories bags. Iconic Mario power-up items and classic foes, including Fire Flowers, Super Mushrooms, 1-Up Mushrooms, Super Stars, coins, Goombas and Koopas all feature within the designs of the bags. All styles also have a custom Super Mario coin zipper pull, which is certainly handy for all those coins one tends to pile up as they make their way through the Mushroom Kingdom.

The LeSportsac bags are just the latest addition to Nintendo's ever-growing offering of licensed goods, an area the company has actively been trying to grow in recent years. Just last month Nintendo collaborated with apparel retailer Uniqlo for an assortment of T-shirts, and is also currently working with Universal Studios on a Super Mario-themed amusement park.

The LeSportsac X Nintendo collection launches July 19 in Japan and will be available in other countries, including the United States, this fall.
