Adidas is using their new UltraBOOST X sneakers to help empower women with the sale of specially designed state sneakers

One of the easiest ways to get people to click on an article is to make it about the 50 states of America. Adidas and women's style outlet Refinery29 used that state pride in their promotion of the new UltraBOOST X sneakers. They brought in 50 female artists to add their own state-inspired flair to a pair. Some of the artists who created their state sneakers include Jen Mussari, Meagan Morrison, Sophia Chang, Bree Poort, Lizzie Darden, Jenny Kiker, Mari Orr, Maria “Too Fly” Castillo, Jordana Schrager, Carrie Chan and even Refinery29‘s own fashion editor Alyssa Coscarelli.

All 50 pairs of sneakers will be up for auction through today, July 11, with proceeds to be donated to Women Win, an organization that uses sports to empower girls to build leadership skills and work toward gender equity.
