Colorful Paris Basketball Court Updated With A New Look
A new coat of paint on a basketball court makes it look like it was taken from an 80s video game
French design agency Ill-Studio and fashion brand Pigalle have applied a fresh coat of paint to a basketball court in Paris. When it was initially painted in 2009 the fashion brand’s founder, Stephane Ashpool, worked with Nike to color the walls with standard reds, whites, yellows and blues.
Ill-studio focused on an entirely new theme for the new paint job: the 80s. The design studio replaced the standard colors with neon pinks, blues, purples and oranges. As the basketball court is surrounded by several grey and white buildings, it surely stands out in the middle of Rue Duperré, Paris.
