The entertainment brand's latest VR game will put players in the skins of their favorite heroes to fight foes with special powers

Good news for wannabe superheroes out there! Prepare to have your dreams come true thanks to Disney and Marvel. Their latest game, ‘MARVEL Powers United VR‘, enables users to don an Oculus Rift VR headset, step into the superhero suits of their favorite Marvel characters such as the Hulk, Captain Marvel and Rocket Raccoon, and use their powers to defeat enemies. The game, announced during D23, even accounts for scaling, meaning the hero’s stature effects how you approach combatants. For example, as the Hulk, you’ll tower over other opponents, but move much slower. The game’s mechanics are fairly simple—defeat various levels of enemies until you reach a boss battle. That said, the appeal is all in the integrated feel rather than the storyline. Although the game has no release date yet, it is expected to hit shelves in 2018.
