German automotive company Continental Corporation has developed an audio system for a car that does not require speakers called the Ac2ated Sound System.

The car’s audio system uses the vehicle’s interior to amplify and change the sound waves it produces. The Ac2ated Sound System produces sound waves through compact actuators installed at numerous locations in the vehicle. Based on where the actuator gets installed, it produces a different frequency: for instance, the actuators in the door panels create a medium frequency while the ones located in the rear shelf system create a lower one.

Continental Corporation will manufacture a low, middle and high-end model of the Ac2ated Sound System for installation in a variety of cars.
