A new app called Walk Mode was released for Samsung users in India to alert them before they walk into walls or traffic

Samsung’s India-based research and development team designed a Walk Mode application for smartphones. This app notifies pedestrians when they’re about to hit a wall or step onto a crosswalk while they text.

When Walk Mode activates, a small red dot appears on the upper right section of the screen to show the application working. Not only does the application notify the user about upcoming obstacles, but it also sends notifications when it detects a traveling vehicle nearby. The app issues these notifications based on information from the smartphone’s sensors, though Samsung did not disclose which sensors Walk Mode uses.

The app is currently available only for Samsung users in India.
