Students now have the opportunity to attend a 300-hour course focused on getting them hands-on experience working with smart devices for any industry

Republic Polytechnic, a university in Singapore, announced that they created a new specialist diploma focused on the Internet of Things, the concept of physical objects having a connection to the internet. The 300-hour course centers on students developing hands-on experience with 3D printing, programming, statistics and analytics, and the position interconnected systems have in society. The creation of this course aligns with the country’s ambition to turn into the world’s first Smart Nation, which was first announced in 2015.

Potential students interested in taking the course have until the end of July to enroll, with the class starting in October. Any student interested in signing up must have a university degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or have a polytechnic diploma.
