With its premium program, bikers can ensure their phones against accidents

If you bike regularly, chances are you’ve already dropped a phone or a device and begged whatever deity that the fall didn’t shatter its screen. If you’re a member of Strava, you might not need to beg as hard. The biking coach app company is trying to protect its riders from losing phones or GPS devices in bike accidents by offering insurance up to $600. The insurance, offered by Strava’s partner Sundays, will also cover cab fare should you have to hail one after an accident. For those who join races, the insurance can also refund registration fees if an illness prevents you from participating.

Strict terms and conditions apply, though, as The Verge points out. To qualify for the $600 coverage, the accident must have destroyed your bike to a degree that makes repairs necessary or inflicted bodily harm.
