Get a closer look at one of the largest model cities in the world

Located in Northern Germany, ‘Wunderland' is the largest model railway exhibit in the world. Built in 2000, it is a famous attraction because of its extensive models that include over 1,300 trains, 100,000 moving vehicles, and 400,000 human figurines, with further construction constantly being planned. Google decided to make this attraction more accessible by building mini camera cars that roamed around the streets of Wunderland. Just like the regular street view option available on Google maps, it is now possible for anyone to see the street view of Wunderland.

It is a fascinating tour because images actually capture model citizens doing every day, ordinary things. Also, there are multiple sections modeled after countries to explore, including the United States where there are options to view the miniature version of spots like Mount Rushmore and Las Vegas. Additionally, anything that a city needs is present, from active public service offerings such as police and fire departments to a very busy airport.
