The Most Silent Motor Car in the World

Rolls-Royce debuted the new eighth generation Phantom this month. Their top of the line model now aims to have the quietest interior cabin of any car. The automaker went to great lengths to achieve a silent ride. 300 pounds of foam insulate the interior wrapped by twin layer 6mm glass in all the windows. Even the tires were specially developed with a layer of internal sound absorbing foam to mute road noise.
