New Nissan Leaf with e-Pedal

Continuing with electric vehicle news, Nissan is getting ready to unveil the next generation Leaf. The automaker has released a teaser video showing an option that combines accelerator and brake for single pedal driving.

Lexus in the Movies

A flagship sports car and futuristic flying vehicle from Lexus will be on screen this year and next. The Lexus SKYJET from Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is a fuel cell powered single seater capable of interstellar travel. The design references contemporary Lexus vehicle themes such as the spindle grille and LC 500 inspired headlamps.

The upcoming Marvel Studios’ Black Panther film will pair the main character, T’Challa with a Lexus LC 500 sports car. Lexus collaborated with Marvel to release a limited edition Black Panther graphic novel featuring the LC 500 at the 2017 Comic-Con International: San Diego.

The Most Silent Motor Car in the World

Rolls-Royce debuted the new eighth generation Phantom this month. Their top of the line model now aims to have the quietest interior cabin of any car. The automaker went to great lengths to achieve a silent ride. 300 pounds of foam insulate the interior wrapped by twin layer 6mm glass in all the windows. Even the tires were specially developed with a layer of internal sound absorbing foam to mute road noise.
