Artists from around New York were invited to create pieces of art using the city's transit pass

Two artists, Michael Kagan and Jean-Pierre Roy, partnered with The New York Academy of Art to curate an exhibition called ‘Single Fare 4.' The exhibition asked for New York artists to create works on the back of transit MetroCards, transforming an everyday item for New Yorkers into a unique piece of art.

The show opened on September 16 and remained open for view on September 17 at Highline Stages in Manhattan. The show did not have a pre-sale, so it was first come, first serve to purchase the art.
