A Facebook update that is said to be in development could add the ability to fill out a detailed resume

All of our social media platforms play a specific role for us. Sometimes, they like to add on features that compete with another platform. Take Instagram ‘Stories,’ for example, which bear a striking similarity to Snapchat. Now Facebook might be looking to help jobseekers with a new resume/CV feature.

Currently, the platform gives people the option to share their career history in its “About Me” section. Facebook is reportedly testing an addition to revamp this section and give users the option to elaborate on current and past jobs, and have the option to write out detailed summaries. Facebook will most likely keep these details hidden to friends but make it available for job recruiters. A separate ‘job’ profile might populate instead of a typical Facebook page.

Although everything is still a work in progress, Facebook may soon become another platform for people to search and connect through employment opportunities.
