In Brief

An anthology called Speak of Work brings together various authors to describe their past experiences working in an office

A new anthology called Speak of Work: A Story of Love, Suspense, and Paperclips has been written by various writers to describe their experience in an office for a project called Set the Page Free. The project Set the Page Free was developed to help support literary organizations 92nd Street Y and the Worldreader.

All 14 of the authors featured in the anthology were recruited by the Y who approached them to write about their experiences with office equipment in unique circumstances. One of the authors in the anthology, Gary Shteyngart, used a voice-activated Xerox printer while he wrote his essay, despite having trouble in his past to use office equipment.

Those interested can pick up the free anthology from the Set the Page Free website.
