It’s the time of year where those with health insurance have to apply for another year of enrollment. ZocDoc, an online medical care scheduling service, has developed the Zocdoc Insurance Checker application to help patients understand their new healthcare plan.

The tools in the application provide the patient with clearer details regarding their plan and clarify provider options. When a patient receives their new healthcare card, they can download Zocdoc’s application to scan their card and receive details about nearby doctors and care facilities. The patient can also view the copay amount for each choice. When the patient chooses a doctor from the approved list for an appointment, the application simply sends their details to the doctor’s office upon arrival.
