Can’t afford a new car? How about just creating a video of you interacting with an Opel vehicle, and then reaping in hundreds of thousands of Youtube views to purchase one! European car brand Opel collaborated with advertising agency JWT Amsterdam to let people do just that with their Pay With Views campaign. 589,000 views grants you the keys to a brand new Opel!  

This creative campaign targeted millennials, as they have the technical savvy to turn their experience into a digital impression and share it with a large audience. Not every video focused on driving an Opel—some featured a comedy sketch in the car or a concert using the car as an instrument. The first winner of this campaign was Yuri Schuurkes, who garnered 4.1 million views. After the success of the ‘Pay With Views’ campaign in the Netherlands, Opel wants to bring it to the rest of Europe.
