This month, the airline is giving customers a chance to win a trip to volunteer for some of JetBlue’s non-profit partners

JetBlue kicks its corporate social responsibility a notch higher by inviting its customers to be more involved this time around. This November, the airline is celebrating JetBlue For Good Month by giving people a chance to win a complimentary trip to volunteer for some of JetBlue’s non-profit partners.

Starting November 2, mock check-in kiosks will be popping up at locations in Los Angeles and New York City. The kiosks will remain there until November 9, waiting for customers to Check In For Good. Customers will simply fill out a short questionnaire about the ‘goods’ they want to declare and then JetBlue will align their answers to the appropriate cause.

JetBlue is focusing on three pillars for Check In For Good: youth and education, environment and community. For youth and education, JetBlue will be reaching out to help the Houston Public Libraries, which have not yet totally recovered from Hurricane Harvey. Volunteers who will win a trip there will go to schools and communities and operate a pop-up library where they’ll host reading events for children.

For the environment, volunteers will check in at the Bahamas for the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation. They will work with marine ecologist Dr. Craig Dahlgren to assist with preserving a coral reef and also help out at the dolphin sanctuary.

The last group of volunteers will travel to Jamaica for the Sandals Foundation’s Local Caribbean Community Efforts. This project is all about helping improve the quality of life in the community. Volunteers will help with restoring, repainting and renovating The Centre, a place of inspiration for both young and old.

The first 2,000 customers who Check In For Good will receive a donation code they can use to donate to a charity they prefer. Those who cannot find a kiosk can also declare goods online. Winning volunteers will be notified before or on November 20. The trips will take place on November 28 for #GivingTuesday.
