Netflix, which recently acquired comic book publisher Millarworld, is now putting out comic books that may serve as a testing ground for future shows. Mark Millar has revealed that The Magic Order will be the first franchise he’ll create as part of this acquisition.

The Magic Order features five families of magicians, sworn to protect our world from monsters for generations, who must battle an enemy that is picking them off one by one. The comic book, with Millar as the writer and Olivier Coipel (Thor, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man) as the artist for the first volume, will be six issues long. The first will be released in spring 2018.
