The athletic brand conducted consumer research to discover women wanted pants designed for their specific workouts

Nike reached out to women to learn more about what they wanted when it came to workout pants. The brand discovered its customers wanted to purchase workout attire based on the activity they were going to do. In response it launched the Nike Pants Studio, which is set to open this month across 5,000 stores.

Ahead of the launch they created nine new pairs of women’s athletic pants designed for specific workouts, including sprint and long-distance running, high-intensity workouts, cycling and more. While the garments were made for specific activities, Nike encourages customers to use them in the way they feel most comfortable.

Nike opened the first Pants Studio spaces in retail locations on November 1. The nine pant styles have been available to purchase online since October 16.
