Order Your Next Round Of Drinks From A Chatbot
This Pepsi chatbot accepted drink orders from event attendees and notified them when they were ready
The line to get a refreshment can take forever in a crowded place. Pepsi wanted to make the process easier, and more entertaining, with the creation of a Facebook Messenger chatbot called the Pepsi Bot-tler for a Fashion Forward conference that took place in Dubai.
Attendees at the event had to locate a Pepsi Messenger code on Pepsi signs placed throughout the event or search for the chatbot in the Facebook Messenger app. Once they had it, they could start a conversation with the bot and place their drink order. When their drink was ready, the chatbot would notify them that it was available to pick up. The chatbot was exclusively designed for the Fashion Forward event.
In the future, more chatbots could find use in immediate areas rather than simply providing remote customer service online. The Pepsi chatbot was built by digital agency Alivenow.
